Correspondence regarding inventions, primarily from members of the public. This material dates from the Second World War period and most of it is connected in some way with the war effort, e.g. submarines, aircraft, and mines. Many correspondents had contacted Haldane due to his involvement with the inquiry into the Thetis disaster.
