Notes

With an initial imprimatur leaf, dated 'March the 14th. 1645' and signed, Iohn Dovvname.
"Of the alternative imprints it seems that [this] is likely to be the earlier. The rest of the title-page was printed from the same setting of type in each, so that the change was probably made while the book was in the press. There is no other alteration. The paper in otherwise identical copiesof the ordinary issue varies both in weight and watermark."--Keynes.
Running title reads: Enquiries into vulgar and common errors.
Imperfect: title page torn at bottom, affecting imprint.
Reproduction of the original in the Worcester College Library, Oxford.
