About this work
Description
Letter from Galton to Larmor, asking him to forward the letter to Dr Hobson, and requesting corroboration of their opinion expressed in a the joint report that the paper submitted to the Royal Society by Pearson and Lee was primarily Pearson's work, with Lee assisting as a computer.
Letter from Dr Hobson to Galton, enclosing a letter from Larmor. Both letters explain the decision not to award the D.Sc. to Alice Lee on mathematical grounds, due to her lack of publications, Pearson's role in the joint paper to the Royal Society, and that her thesis could only properly be judged by an expert in anthropology.
