Letter from Pollock to Galton regarding a discussion with Clifford of Trinity College, who informed Pollack that Lord Napier of Magdala, Moncrieff and Maxwell Clerk were all descended from Napier of Marchistown, and that the Scottish families Gregory and Ardenon have produced a number of eminent persons.
