Medical Research Grants

Papers and correspondence relating to medical research grants applied for or obtained by Daniel, including one from the Wellcome Trust in the 1970s and one from the Muscular Dystrophy Group of Great Britain 1980, and copies of various joint and sole applications made by Daniel to different medical foundations, charities and institutions. Applications were generally for research into muscle wasting conditions such as multiple sclerosis and muscular dystrophy; neurological effects of metabolic disorders; diabetes and the heart, and susceptability to infection, and neurological disorders; study of the amounts and location of various essential elements (metals and minerals) within the cells and organelles of various animal models of disease
