Photograph of a drawing by Isaak van Ostade, of a man, possibly a charlatan doctor, selling medicine to a crowd. This reproduction was made during the VI International Congress for the History of Medicine held in Leiden 1927 at the Exposition d'art Medico-Historique and is described as Dessin [Drawing] 34, Le charlatan, in the exhibition catalogue. The original drawing is held by the Teylers Museum, Haarlem. The top left corner of the plate has been lost.
