Correspondence and papers relating to the Health Service Commissioner (HSC) for England (Ombudsman), with particular reference to complaints against various Area Health Authorities, which formed cases supported by the Patients Association.

Correspondence covers the difficulty in getting complaints to the Commissioner via MPs, the method of investigating or handling complaints against the medical profession, increasing number of complaints to the HSC, and the role of an ombudsman.
