About this work
Description
Manuscript letters. Interested in Galton's paper on barometric predictions of weather and sends his observations about this. Letter dated 28 Aug 1881 announced death of Darwin's uncle. Letters announcing birth of his daughter and son (1885, 1887). Congratulations on receiving two honours (1902). Concerning article in The Times about police and fingerprints. Concerning nomination as President of the British Association (1905) with copy of Galton's reply that he has to decline: "the fatal fact remains that I am not strong enough even under all these alterations. The preceding excitement would be enough to upset me. I cannot stand even a moderate account of flurry."
