About this work
Description
This material relates predominantly to the research undertaken at the Strangeways Research Laboratory on the effects of of various substances used in chemical warfare and the development of anti-agents, for the Ministry of Supply Chemical Defence Research Department at Porton. It thus has strong connections with Professor R A Peters' papers on his involvement in this work in GC/197, but there seems to be relatively little overlap. There is a significant amount of correspondence, reports prepared by Honor Fell and other members of her staff, experimental notes, and some other materials relating to the research,
There is also a little material consisting of papers circulated by the Medical Research Council relating to US contributions to the wound-healing research also being undertaken as the SRL's war-work, and some papers from the late 1940s on research on tolerance doses of radioactivity, presumably from the MRC Tolerance Doses Panel.

Arrangement
These papers were received in a number of files which had possibly become rather disorganised over the years, and a certain amount of reorganisation and reordering was necessary.
