Important facts regarding the East-India Company's affairs in Bengal, from the year 1752 to 1760. This treatise contains an exact state of the company's revenues in that settlement; with copies of several very interesting letters: shewing particularly, the real causes which drew on the presidency of Bengal the dreadful catastrophe of the year 1756; and vindicating the character of Mr. Holwell from many scandalous aspersions unjustly thrown our against him, in an anonymous pamphlet, published March 6th, 1764, intitled, "Reflections on the present state of our East-India affairs."
