Description

This substantial series of correspondence comprises letters, postcards, telegrams and other written communications between Marthe Vogt and her family, friends, close colleagues and officials. It dates from the 1930s through to 1960, when she moved back to Cambridge. It includes the communications sent between Marthe and her family during World War II by means of a third party in Sweden. The correspondence offers an insight into Marthe's relationships with her family and friends as well as her day-to-day activities and appointments. These papers are in German, French and English. Letters are handwritten or typed.
