Dresser, Esq. {Secretary), Dr. A. Gun- ther, J. E. Harting, Esq., J. Gwyn Jeffreys, Esq., Professor Newton, and the Rev. Canon Tristram, appointed for the purpose of enquiring into the possibility of establishing a Close Time for the protection of Indigenous Animals. Your Committee begs leave to report that the object for which it was appointed continues to receive a considerable share of public attention, and that during the past year the three Acts of Parliament establishing a Close Time for certain kinds of Birds have attracted so much notice that there is no fear of their falling into neglect.
