Letters from Elizabeth Robson ("Bette"), sent whilst conducting research in and travelling around the United States and Canada. The letters concern her travels, research, and opinions on the state of research and hospital facilities. Enclosed is a progress report for the years 1956-59 on her work as a member of the external scientific staff of the Medical Research Council and as Honorary Research Assistant at the Galton Laboratory.
