About this work

Description

Correspondence, draft scripts and transcripts, handwritten notes, phone-in statistics and photographs re.the promotion of contraception services on BBC radio via the programme 'The Borth Controllers' and LWT via a PSA on male responsibility for contraception. The latter was according to the FPA, the first birth control message broadcast on British national television, and was delayed due to a dispute with the IBA on the grounds of public taste and decency and concerns the message encouraged promiscuity amongst young men.
