Description
Digital pictures by David Beales. The pictures were created by drawing an outline on paper which Beales then scanned and coloured on his computer using Photoshop. Beales would then print the pictures for exhibition and selling, but he considers the digital picture to be the original work. Some files in this series comprise just the digital picture, whilst others contain the scanned outline and some include alternative versions of the picture.
The preparatory line drawings are in PP/DBL/A/3. Early sketches and design ideas for some of the pictures are in PP/DBL/A/4 and PP/DBL/A/5.
