Letters to Pontecorvo from the Secretary of the Royal Society inviting him to deliver the Leeuwenhoek lecture and concerning arrangements for the lecture and its publication. Also includes copies of letters Pontecorvo sent to friends asking for their comments on the first draft of his Leeuwenhoek lecture (including Dr Francois Jacob, Dr Sydney Brenner and Prof Conrad Hal Waddington) and letters recieved from a veriety of friends and colleagues sharing their opinions on his paper.
