Description
Lecture notebook of H. Lehmann, labelled 'Fever Lectures'. On the inside front cover is written 'North Western Hospital, May 1942'. First lecture is dated 29 Apr 1942, last lecture marked on 19 Jan 1943. Notes written mainly in blue ink, include 'markings' by tutor in red ink.
Detailed notes, covering patient care, types of infectivity, barrier nursing, infective viruses, artificial feeding (tube feeding), tuberculosis lectures by Dr Snell, drugs, Dr Ramsey's fever lectures covering types of bacteria, immunity, diagnosis, vaccines and sera, effects of fevers on the nervous system, scarlet fever, erysipelas, diphtheria, measles, intestinal infections, dysentery, typhoid or enteric fever.
