Dr Andrew J Moyer's Penicillin patents

Copy of letter from Heatley to author Gladys Hobby, relating to US patents resulting from penicillin production work carried out in the USA by Heatley and Dr Andrew J Moyer, microbiologist, Fermentations Division, Northern Regional Research Laboratory, US Department of Agriculture, Peoria, Illinois, USA. With two copies of an original typescript account by Moyer (1944) which comprises a statement of research on penicillin production conducted by him when microbiologist, Fermentations Division, Northern Regional Research Laboratory. It covers the assignment of the research to him, his plans for the research, development of production method, the submerged process, patent applications, publications and further research. It forms part of Moyer's claims to sole inventorship of penicillin. There is also a brief explanatory manuscript note by Heatley attached to the first page.
