Register of Directors

As well as a copy of the official returns of directors made under Companies legislation, this volume also includes some notes of changes in directors in between returns. There is one return per year in general, except for during wartime, when Companies law has changed, and towards the end of the volume when there are gaps.

As part of the returns, certain particulars of directors are given, including addresses, occupation and, sometimes, the date of birth and other directorships (in particular after the 1948 Companies Act made this information a requirement of Companies House)
