No. 44 from the Berolzheimer series of alchemical and historical reproductions. Photograph of an egraving first published in Denis Diderot's Encyclopedie depicting a Parisian chemical laboratory with instruments, furnaces and vessels. There is an accompanying key (see image M0009396). The photograph was acquired by the Wellcome Historical Museum and accessioned in 1935 (accession number PHO 2885). Related images: M0009406
