Description
During 1967-1968, Sturrock's wife, also a scientist, was in receipt of a grant from the MRC's Tropical Metabolism Research Board, in order to carry out experiments on Biomphalaria glabrata as part of a study of the relationship between host and parasite. She had previously carried out work on the infection of Biomphalaria pfeifferi in East Africa.
