Dr Peak correspondence: Mr W A Broom (Boots Pure Drug Co Ltd)

Mr Broom was a member of the Pharmacological Dept, Boots Pure Drug Co Ltd, West Bridgford.

This small file of correspondence includes a copy memorandum (5 February, 1943) from Dr C R Harington, National Institute for Medical Research, to Broom, welcoming the proposal that TRC should prepare unified subsidiary standards for the common use of member-companies. However, Harington noted that the Medical Research Council "do not in fact look with favour on the suggestion that the TRC should take the further step of issuing subsidiary standards to other firms or individuals under the conditions named in your Memorandum."
