About this work

Description

Small group of unidentified documents from the first tranche of Crick's archive to be transferred to the Wellcome Library (i.e. sections PP/CRI/A-I). It is not known whether the items were originally found as a group, or whether they were found scattered and brought together artificially.

The file includes reading notes, diagrams, calculations, draft texts and draft lectures on inter alia soluble RNA; skeleton-type atomic models; genetic control of amino acid sequence; virus structure; recent advances in biological molecules; 'Nucleic Acid Lectures'. The majority of the items are undated.

A sub-group of notes, calculations and graphs relating to Crick's work on the structure of Poly A (polyadenylic acid) have been separated out and catalogued as PP/CRI/H/2/19/8.
