About this work

Description

With minor corrections. Contains an overview of places visited. Pontecorvo was unhappy with the failure of the China Association of Science and Technology to arrange field work for him in the Tien Shan region. He only managed 7 days out of the planned 4 weeks of field work, and was given "vague reasons for the failure" in being able to carry out his field work at previously planned locations. Also includes Pontecorvo's accompanying letter to the Foreign Secretary of the Royal Society.
