About this work

Description

Manuscript letters. Sent a circular of a meeting of the Midland Union of Natural History Societies at which Poulton, the President, was delivering a talk on heredity. He also sent Galton an invitation to the meeting. Galton's notes from the lecture are enclosed. Poulton suggested two lines of experiments. Asks if Galton knew anything about the traveller Burchell who died in 1863 because he was writing his biography with account of unpublished observations from Brazil; page from the Oxford University Gazette concerning the endowment in memory of the late Herbert Spencer.
