Description
Correspondence with the British American Tobacco Co regarding Mayneord's consultancy work on natural alpha activity of tobacco, and related matters of interest, including construction of a radioactive laboratory in Southampton by the Tobacco Company for studying further transfer and pyrolysis mechanisms. Mayneord's work investigated the presence of polonium 210 in tobacco and the possible implications on health. Mayneord's consultancy work with the British American Tobacco Co ended in 1972.
