Project description:
Histopathology depends largely on the visual interpretation of tissue samples examined microscopically, this provides an interesting parallel with visual art. The aim of the project is to facilitate a co-operative project between the Whittington Histopathology team, Actiondog, and kinetic sculptors Obsquare, and thirty young people from two schools. Given the information gleaned by the science learning, the intention would be for the participants to create sculptures on which to project coloured lasers, to create art-forms representing/ interpreting tissue samples seen under a microscope. The sculptures will be displayed at exhibitions, filmed and disseminated on the web.
