About this work

Description

The Institute of Genetics building at the University of Glasgow was named after Pontecorvo in 1995. He founded the Department and was the first Professor of Genetics at the University. This bundle includes photographs of a speech given by John Subak-Sharpe to honour Pontecorvo in the building itself and the party held at Bernard L Cohen's home afterwards. Also includes two photographs of the Pontecorvo building from 1966.
