File consists of Vane's typed lecture notes and related documents for the lecture, titled, "Analeptics" in his series of pharmacology lectures given whilst at The Royal College of Surgeons. Details include:

Typed document, with annotation, reproducing the lecture in full. The section titles are; actions on the central nervous system; treatment of strychnine poisoning; picrotoxin; leptazol, , metrazol, cardiazol (pentylenetetrazol); nikethamide (coramine); caffeine, theophylline and theobromine; amphetamine (dexadrine and benzedrine); meratran (pipradrol hcl); ritalin (methylphenidate); other central nervous stimulants; drugs which stimulate the C.N.S. by reflexes; nalorphine; and daptazole (amiphenazole).
