About this work

Description

Letter from naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace to Galton returning a paper. Wallaces states that he enjoyed reading Galton's paper "A Theory of Heredity" [published in The Journal of the Anthropological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland vol. 5 (1876) pp. 329-348], which he thought was "most ingenious and a decided improvement on Darwin's, as it gets over some of the great difficulties and the enormous cumbrousness of his Pangenesis".
