Photograph of No. 48 from the Berolzheimer series of alchemical and historical reproductions: a reproduction of an 1818 oil painting by Johannes Jelgerhuis depicting the distillery of the apothecary Anthony d'Ailly near the Bulwark on the Zaagmolenpoort in Amsterdam. The photograph was acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum and accessioned in the 1930s. The original painting is held by the Rijks Museum (object number SK-A-2713)
