About this work

Description

Part of a letter from Sir Roderick Impey Murchison to Galton informing him that John Hanning Speke and James Augustus Grant had reached Khartoum. Murchison notes "Telegraph from Foreign Office", which is likely to be the telegram sent by Speke to Murchison via the Foreign Office to inform him that the source of the Nile had been found.
