Description

Two images on one negative: the first is a reproduction of a photograph showing three forms in which the gastropod Turritella occurs as a fossil. The second is a photograph of the flying reptile Rhamphorhynchus phyllurus with the delicate wing membranes preserved as an imprint in a fine grand limestone. They are published in Schuchert, Charles: Outlines of Historical Geology, third edition, New York: J. Wiley & Sons, 1937.
